This is a very good commentary on Fox News and the hole that it is digging itself. The further to the extreme right they go, they more they alienate the center and independent voters in the country.
"The central tenet of that culture is a celebration of the "me" and an aversion to the "we". When Harris pollsters asked US citizens aged 18 and older what it means to be an American the answers surprised no one. Nearly 60 percent used the word freedom.
I was talking with my wife last night, and we got on the subject of comic strips. This got me thinking about all the comics that I used to read and love when I was a kid.

Looks like the Saturday burning is off. Also something about the NYC mosque being moved and the pastor going to NYC to visit the Imam. Not much info in the article, but I saw all this on the local news here in Orlando.
I've always enjoyed the "New Rules" segment of Real Time with Bill Maher, but I particularly liked this one, especially his new name for Toby Keith.

I'm not exactly sure when the reality TV craze started, or with what program. Thinking back, I'm guessing it is between the "Real World" on MTV and "Survivor". Ever since those shows, there has been an exponential rise in the number of reality shows that have hit the airwaves.

We woke on New Years Day just as it was getting light. Today was the day that we would drive back to Toliara, and then to Ifaty for a one night stay at the Paradisier Hotel. After we packed, we all gathered in the bar area with our gear for the trip back.

Recently, I've seen and heard a lot about how great it is to have kids. I see women on TV shows say that their life wasn't complete until they have kids. I see posts by friends who gush about their kids and all their accomplishments.

I've seen all his movies, a must if you grew up during the 80's. Going to go watch some of his flicks.
It was a beautiful morning when we woke up on the beach on New Years' Eve. The sky was clear blue and the temperature had still not crept into the triple digits. We crawled out of our tents and began looking around our campsite, as we hadn't seen it in daylight yet.

We awoke at 5:30 am. I slept quite well considering that I have always had a problem sleeping when I'm hot. I guess we were all so tired from our first day that everyone slept well. It gets light very early in Madagascar during the summer.

So, here I am again, in the midst of another major Florida storm. Tropical storm Fay has been trolling around Florida for about 4 days now, and it looks like it may be here through the weekend. The amount of rain she has dumped on the Central Florida area has been epic.

I woke up at about 5 am in our hotel room in Paris on the day we were leaving for Madagascar. My stomach was turning tricks and I ended up spending the next several hours in the bathroom. It must have been that salmon I ate last night.
