I've always enjoyed the "New Rules" segment of Real Time with Bill Maher, but I particularly liked this one, especially his new name for Toby Keith.
What are your favorites, past or present?
I'm not exactly sure when the reality TV craze started, or with what program. Thinking back, I'm guessing it is between the "Real World" on MTV and "Survivor". Ever since those shows, there has been an exponential rise in the number of reality shows that have hit the airwaves.

We woke on New Years Day just as it was getting light. Today was the day that we would drive back to Toliara, and then to Ifaty for a one night stay at the Paradisier Hotel. After we packed, we all gathered in the bar area with our gear for the trip back.

Recently, I've seen and heard a lot about how great it is to have kids. I see women on TV shows say that their life wasn't complete until they have kids. I see posts by friends who gush about their kids and all their accomplishments.

I've seen all his movies, a must if you grew up during the 80's. Going to go watch some of his flicks.
It was a beautiful morning when we woke up on the beach on New Years' Eve. The sky was clear blue and the temperature had still not crept into the triple digits. We crawled out of our tents and began looking around our campsite, as we hadn't seen it in daylight yet.

Airports across the United States will have designated security lanes for families to move through preflight inspections at their own pace, just in time for the busy U.S. holiday travel season.
Now that the McCain concession and Obama victory speeches have been given, I would like to give my perspective on the presidential race. First, I would like to say that I have followed this race with great interest.

OK, I don't know if anything like this has been posted here already, but I have been reading a lot of the political seeds and articles here recently and would like to take a poll.

When I was just a young lad, I loved Saturday mornings. I would always get up early, my mom or dad would make me a good breakfast, and I'd plop myself down in front of the tv for a few hours of cartoons.

We awoke at 5:30 am. I slept quite well considering that I have always had a problem sleeping when I'm hot. I guess we were all so tired from our first day that everyone slept well. It gets light very early in Madagascar during the summer.

Apparently, this cop says he was asked to take one for the team, but that it was a lot of work.
So, here I am again, in the midst of another major Florida storm. Tropical storm Fay has been trolling around Florida for about 4 days now, and it looks like it may be here through the weekend. The amount of rain she has dumped on the Central Florida area has been epic.

When we landed in Toliara, we were greeted by more members of our local tour group, Klaus (a different Klaus) and a young Malagasy named Dimy, who was probably in his mid-teens.

I woke up at about 5 am in our hotel room in Paris on the day we were leaving for Madagascar. My stomach was turning tricks and I ended up spending the next several hours in the bathroom. It must have been that salmon I ate last night.

Ever since I joined Newsvine, I've been thinking about writing a story about my honeymoon in Madagascar.

Another possible avoidance of personal responsibility, if the family ends up filing a lawsuit.
A story from the UK, that could, and probably has, taken place in the US. Predator paranoia is everywhere. Now, people need to be concerned and look around before taking pictures of their own kids, lest they be branded a pedophile.
Since I turned 40 just a few months ago, I have been reminiscing a lot about my life. I guess this is just a rite of passage for everyone when they hit this age.

Here we go again. Another person who has shed the weight of personal responsibility and put the blame squarely on the shoulders of a deep pocket. This was his gun and his son. If he is too irresponsible to keep it in a safe place, too bad.
Again, we find another abuse of our legal system by some fool who refuses to take responsibility for his own actions.
Alex Ovechkin scored a hat trick and got the assist on the winning goal in overtime Sunday, while the Capitals kept up their pursuit of NHL history with a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Washington's 14-game win streak is now the third longest ever.
Nicklas Backstrom's third-period, power-play goal — his fifth point of the night — snapped a tie and gave the Capitals a 6-5 victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday that extended the Capitals' winning streak to a team-record 12 games.
For a pizza joint, it's a bold move to tell customers your crust tasted like cardboard and your sauce was like ketchup.
I love all sorts of foods, dishes, and cooking traditions. In fact I can't think of a cuisine I do not like! Now picking a favorite one, that would be hard for me to do. I might be able to come up with a Top 5, but an absolute Number 1 would be difficult.
